To me its a choice. A feeling is fleeting where a choice is much longer lasting. When I love someone it means I am going to be with them in the good and the bad times. I won't leave them (except in death
). It means that this person is someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. Oh yes the feelings will be there but I won't need feelings to stay loving my future spouse. Just like a parent can be angry with their child and still love him/her.
