Zen Concept & Law of Attraction.
I was just thinking about how the Zen concept of "not trying," and the Law of Attraction work in conjunction. When I "do not try" to do something, results come about much faster and easier.
Examples:
1. There is a large tree branch that has fallen in my back yard, and the connecting branches are a few feet off the ground. I walk on these branches to improve my balance. When I "try" to walk on the branches, I find it very difficult. However, when I "don't try" to walk on the branches, I can easily balance & perform maneuvers that I could not do otherwise.
2. I once used the law of attraction to meet members of the opposite sex. I put out the intention before I feel asleep, and didn't think about it when I woke up. That day I go to the bookstore, and have a seat in the cafe section. There is a college student who is looking in the foreign language section, which happens to be right next to my table. I just happen to have put the book "How to Learn Any Language" in my book-bag, earlier that day. I strike up a conversation with her about this book, and we continue talking for a few more minutes.
Later, as I'm about to leave, another woman sits down a few tables away, and makes eye contact with me. As I'm walking out the door, she purposely gets in my way to brush shoulders with me. Only later in the day, did I realize I had asked for all of this the night before.
I believe this is what is meant by "Act like you are,” and "act like you have.” Because someone who "is," or “has" is already congruent with the idea of "not trying." They would not think about it, as it is only natural to them.
What are your thoughts on this?
