Unusual Ambient Music Angel Music by Iasos

Dear Iasos:
I was listening to "Angelic Music" this morning while I was having my coffee, and was remembering the first time I heard this back in 1983. It always makes me smile when I think of the number of times I listened to "The Angels of Comfort," first on cassette, then on CD.
It was always the greatest during lovemaking (I hate to say "was"!), and also during massage. You make me happy knowing that your music is on my shelf. Yours, C.D.

This is ambient music that has received a lot of compliments. It has also been described as the most similar music to that heard in near death experiences by some listeners;
Quote:
"The Psychology Department at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire has been doing research on those that have had a "near-death experience" (NDEs).
In correlating their experiences, they played for all these NDEs many types of music, including classical, pop, and new age, to see if any of this music came close to what they "heard" while officially "on the other side". As it turns out, Iasos' piece on this album - "The Angels of Comfort" - consistently received the highest rating, by quite a margin, as being most like the heavenly music they heard while out of their bodies.

Takes you somewhere else..., January 21, 2001

This disk has a great deal of movement that takes you outside of the physical realm. I came to know this music when a client gave it to my Mom.
The client had a near death experience and said that the music on this disk reminded her of what the experience sounded like. I use it when doing energy work. I think it would be very helpful for someone to use while in a trance state doing distance healing. The volume levels do drop occassionally. Overall, I find the music and sounds to be very calming and ethereal.

But this one is different than Marcey's music; Iasos doesn't claim to have composed this during a near death experience, although he has claimed to have been specially hearing this type of music after composing ambient music for so long.

Not as expected, January 30, 2006

Music, all though calm and serene, not quite as relaxing as I would expect. Entire CD sounded like the same music themed over and over.

With this one, according to Iasos, if you listen to this music through stereo headphones, close your eyes and focus on the music, you will experience a 3 dimensional hologram inside your mind.

Unlike anything else I've ever heard., June 19, 2005

No kidding. Thus music really DOES transport you into "other worlds". I've never heard anything like it. There is a certain kind of "brilliance", or "sheen", or EXTREME-positiveness (hard to describe) in this music, that I've never encountered in other music.
If you like "going to other places" with music, especially truly uplifting places, man oh man, you've found the right album! And like the album notes say, if you listen with headphones and your eyes closed, it is a totally immersive audio experience.

I find these interesting because the music itself is not based on claims but the effect it supposedly has....
