Default "unreachable" goal??? - PLEASE HELP

Hello!

I'm taking a math 20 pure course in summer school right now, and I want to eventually get into math 30 pure I.B. There are two ways I can do this:

1) Take this summer school class as a prep class, taking math 20 pure I.B (a more in-depth math course) next semester and passing with a high enough mark to get in 30 I.B, (This goal is highly possible, and I will get the added benefit of learning extra things in the math 20 pure I.B class)

2) Get my mark from 42% to at least 75% in three days (its the end of the course in 3 days), and somehow manage to get in pure 30 I.B without taking the required 20 I.B class. (Logically impossible, wont have added benefit of learning extra things in 20 I.B class, will probably stress me out a lot)

I was originally going to take this class to get into math 30 pure (a course easier to get into than math 30 I.B) but then I realized that it wasn't really working for me because my teacher wasn't very good, i didn't understand, I was trying really hard and getting no results, and I felt as if taking it as an actual course would completely burn me out.

Now I'm regretting taking it as a prep class, because I feel like I'm "taking the lazy road" even if i know I'm not, because doing 20 IB next semester will actually give me more knowledge, and I will understand math better in the end. But at the same time, it would be really cool to get in 30 pure IB next semester and not worry about that extra math 20 course to do, but thats logically not possible and I wont learn extra things from math 20 I.B (if i get 100% on all the next things i do, I will finish this course with an average of 70%, and if they were to actually let me go from 20 pure to 30 IB, which is in itself unlikely, I would need to finish my course with AT LEAST 75% as an average, probably 80%, which as I said, is mathematically impossible.)

Can I "attract" my way into getting into math 30 for the next semester, or that be a dumb thing to try to achieve?

Thank you!
