Hi Dannyboy... this product is called "Attention!", by Dr. Paul Swingle and it is a CD with certain frequency sounds that you can play in the background. It is supposed to reduce mental noise and distracting thoughts, as result, making your thinking clearer.

This is not the same as binaural beats. It uses a different type of sound frequency.

It was discovered by accident, in a laboratory where certain sound tones that were being played in a room seemed to destroy the concentration of a researcher. Dr. Swingle tested different frequencies until he got the opposite effect, strong concentration, and those are the frequencies he uses in this CD.

He tested the CD on different subjects, like people with ADD, head injuries and anxiety disorders. He got the same consistent affect of stronger concentration each time.

It can be used for studying, reading or any type of activity where you need unbroken, focused concentration. According to the data from the tests, just listening to the sounds for only 2 minutes helped to create a state of focused concentration that lasted for over an hour....

For self improvement, one can see the potential benefits, like for meditation, since a strong focused mind is often required for certain practices.....

This is Dr. Swingle's Site: Sound Health Products Inc.

Arboretor I just want to mention that triggers and anchors play an important role in NLP:

Neuro-linguistic programming - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thank you Arboretor, I forgot to mention it was part of NLP. The idea seems interesting, I've read where alot of people claim anchoring and triggering works for them....the idea of just using a simple gesture to change your attititude to happier one seems great to me....

Magneurol A pill that makes you psychic?

Now usually, before I even think of posting a product here, I look at it to make sure it isn't too silly or dangerous.

So for this one I'm going to admit I'm completely skeptical and hope this pill isn't too dangerous for anyone to take....

The makers claim this pill was developed mainly for brain function, but word has gotten around that this pill can cause O.B.E'S, Psychic functioning, E.S.P, the works....

The skeptics say the ingredients are nothing more than a dose of multivitamins:

Hey Mary,

Thanks for the comment. I agree that placebo as with so many things could and might be part of the equation. The main ingredient of Magneurol-6-S is the Magnetitum, and that is what peaked my attention.

There is some research on it out on the web that is really interesting as far as magnetic fields and how it could be connected to commonly seen sixth sense abilities, such as homing pegions using it to navigate and more recently elephants and natives avoiding getting hit by the tsunami in asia by "sensing it before it happened".

And uh oh....

Day two: An hour before I ate, I drank more magnetite, this time the right amount, and still I felt nothing surging in my body or nothing visual. I am about to quick this because I see no good or bad effects. It's like I am drinking dirt. I am glad that I paid 3.95lb for this crap. Thank the heavens that I didn't lash out 80 bucks for Magneurol-6S. I would have beaten my own ass till I saw the energy pulsing out of it. Well there it goes.

Whenever I see advertisments for pills like this I still think of colloidal silver and the skin condition it can cause......
