If you guys haven't already, I would suggest signing up for the free Google Analytics to measure your traffic. It's as good as most $3k programs and will measure the things that really matter, including conversions.

I'm not sure I agree, Page views are just as important if not more important than unique visitors. While you always want your unique visitors to contine to rise you also want to look at the average amount of pages your visitors view. This gives you insight into how useful your visitors find your site. The more pages they view the more they like your content and the more like they will become repeat visitors and maybe even provide plugs for your site throughout the web which will bring in even more uniques.
