I also have similar experiences. In my dreams, I often have powers like telekinesis (move the objects without touching them) and also flying. It is usually like energy that comes out of my hands and move these objects. When flying, I am also using the same energy to carry myself.
When I am dreaming, even though I am not lucid, these powers seem natural to me. I even happen to time travel when something bad happens.
Maybe this has something to do with daydreaming, because during a daydream I have control over what happens in my dream. And it seems that I am using the same technique as in daydreaming in my true dreams to control them.
