It is, when it's got feeling behind it. It's all about the emotions it conjures. Would the war on terror ever have gotten off the ground if we weren't so emotionally distraught after 9/11 that we'd be willing to do anything to prevent another event like that from happening? And what about Iraq?
Words, by themselves, have no power. Brutha is right on about that. But when there are strong feelings and expectations attached to them words can reshape the world.
