Could it be true that nothing anyone does or says matters? That it is not really possible to make a difference?
Ponder that.
Once you realise that nothing you can do or say has any impact then you will lose your self-importance and you will stop worrying about what others think of you.
We are all here for ourselves in a sense - yet the more advanced person includes others in the definition of self.
So who is more holy than whom?
A very advanced person is just so humble - couldn't care less what others thought. He does it for the feeling of being God.
