Where do you get that I assumed anything?
I was raised a Catholic and had respect for the church and its teachings that we heard in services. As I grew up and learned more about the church, I grew to know the corruption of people in such positions.
For example, the Catholic church in Canada participated in and covered up its history of
ethnic cleansing of Aboriginal people.
That's a pretty serious case of theft by people in power using their tools of business, church, and police force. They even blotched it out of history!
