It's good that you've found something that works for you. But I think Andrew is talking about ways to avoid the cause of acne and not to avoid the symptoms. And that's actually a better approach because the symptoms just show you that there is something wrong you (for example with your diet). If you just cure the symptoms but not the cause there is still something wrong with you.
