Hi Rose, why don't you try this:
Put on some lovely soft meditative music, do your breathing,start by bringing down the golden light to envelope your whole body, including under your feet, ask the angels for protection,I use Micheal and Raphael, take some time to do this, no need to rush through it.
Next open your chakras, starting with your base, which is red
Sacrel which is orange
your solar plexus which is yellow
your heart which is green
your throat which is blue
your third eye which is purple, think amethst colour and
your crown which I use as gold.
To open these imagine them as a ball of colour, then see them open like a flower, you have activated your chakras.
Next, open your channel to the collective unconcious by imagining a beam of white light coming from your crown chakra and up into the heavens.
Now to contact your guide.only one at a time, you want to give them all an equal chance to speak with you!
See yourself walking towards a large oak tree with its branches spreading far out. As you get closer you can see a person sitting under the tree on a garden bench. Keep approaching, taking as much time as you like, and when you reach the figure under the tree you can introduce yourself and see where your conversation goes from there. It is not necessary to ask thier name, but if you want to ask other questions thats ok. Sometimes you don't even have to say anything, just being there with them is contentment enough. When you have finished, make sure that you thank your guide for meeting you,give them a hug, if you wish and walk away from the tree,not looking back.
