I have a similar themed blog over at
Becoming a Millionaire With Adsense, which I started on June 1st.
The hardest part was bootstrapping it at lightning speed. I got to the top of Google ("becoming a millionaire with adsense") in 6 days, and had 13 keywords putting me at the top after 2 weeks, but much tweaking and a lack of a backup (the dumbest mistake I've made) undermined some of that work, so now I'm rebuilding.
The three tips I can't enforce enough are:
1. Schedule your posts to release an article on a regular basis. That way, you can work for one evening a week typing it up and the whole thing runs on auto-pilot for the rest of the week.
2. Backup your template whenever you change it, and keep the last known working template to fall back on.
3. Promote. Promote. Promote!
I'm just approaching my first $100, which is a bit below where I hoped to be, but I forgot to account for weekend dips in traffic, so I've reduced my posts as well from 7 to 6 a week (because Sunday is also a Monday across the dateline where about half my traffic seems to come from). That means I get an extra 4 or 5 posts per month to add to the backlog of scheduled releases.
