Maybe. I think that feeling safe is one of the great wonderful things about being in a LLTMBR, for women and men. But I also think we get confused about feeling safe: what it takes, what we're responsible for, thinking that the other person "owes" it to us to "make" us feel safe, you know, and what would be an authentic threat. The fear of sexual infidelity could be an authentic fear -- your well-being could actually be endangered -- but I think that there are inauthentic fears, or anxieties, around infidelity that are even more impactful on our relationships. Like the fear of being abandoned, or the anxiety of feeling worthless or unloveable.
