If you were not actually incarnated as J&M, maybe that child was recognizing something more metaphorical and poetic about the two of you, like you will be producing some creative or spiritual expression that will make a big difference in the world. Maybe the child is recognizing a "partnership" you and your friend aren't even aware of.
