Don't try so hard or take life so seriously. Most of the teachings you encounter will have grains of truth in them that you can glean. Use what works. Discard what doesn't work. Over time you will find your own truth.

Since obsessing about the meaning of life isn't working for you, stop obsessing. Remain open and curious, but don't look for the perfect once and for all truth. It doesn't exist for any of us. Including spiritual teachers and mentors. They, too, have only partly understood and applied truth. So you will never reconcile everyone's beliefs and teachings.

In the Christian world we used to say that someone was "so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good". I think this is valid. There is a balance between contemplating eternity and living in the now. It's probably more important to live in the now, in fact.

So, ease off and take a vacation from all the mind games and then take them in smaller doses in the future.
