I think it's helpful to accept yourself as you are and to understand your own path based upon what you value the most. Take everything with a grain of salt, hold all ideas lightly. However, if you feel a tug towards a direction espoused by a guru, explore that. People like Steve Pavlina and Tony Robbins have incredible ideas, and you can pick and choose what is right for your situation. If you really want something, accept that there is a gap between what you want and where you are, and do something to move in that direction.
