Yes--if you sign up for a gmail/google account you get all these wonderful things you can use to keep track of your plans, to-dos, etc.
They have a calendar, a Docs and Spreadsheets section (which you can access anywhere anytime) and all sorts of other neat things.
If you use Gmail you can access it very quickly as you check your email. I keep my plans, propositions, tracking sheets with Google Docs and Spreadsheets. You can even collaborate with others (gmail or non-gmail users)
I think you can sign up even if you don't want an email account, but ask me if you want an invitation code.
