In the spirit of positive thinking, I will list some of my IM-tool strengths:
1) I can visualize in vivid detail
2) I can spontaneously induce excitement
3) I have a very high tolerance for repetition
4) I can enter a light meditative state at any time with relative ease
#2 is the most interesting for me, as it ties in to 1 in a way I've always known but never saw the potential in (I had my epiphany only just this evening, a byproduct of my recent focus). Ever since I first learned of IM, I worried over my inability to work up any feeling, all the while conveniently forgetting just how much power I had to do exactly that. See, I've always had the capacity to 'energize' myself with daydreams. Indeed, when I was a child, I would get so incredibly thrilled over my imagined adventures I would actually start jumping around like a mad fiend. I didnt make the connection because I was trying to do this "by the book" rather than remembering I had a 100% effective method all my own!
I guess the trick now is to adapt this gift in a more controlled manner, and use IM "targets" instead of the escapist fare of my youth. I can't put what I do into words, maybe because it was never something I felt needed examination, but when I push that button I get fired up every time!
