A few months ago I switched to a biphasic sleep routine, which lets me do exactly that. I take a nap in the evening, then stay up to 2-3am, and get up at 7am or so. If you don't need that much sleep, you could easily slice 90 minutes or so off this.
One of the major benefits of doing this is an increase in the quality of sleep. I feel more refreshed now from less sleep, which is wonderful.
