If a single nation can't keep a corporation in check what speaks about banding to gather like the European Union to be stronger in the face of corporation or NGO's?
We face a paradox with democracy. If the government becomes too large the people feel too isolated to pay attention. If the government is too small it can easily be taken over by small but strong factions. Therefore we might need to develop a better form of government if we wish to keep our liberties in light of the present tendency toward Globalization.
