That was me!
carenk - I feel so happy that
TAT (an acronym for Tapas Accupressure Technique, is case anyone is wondering!) is working so well for you.
I have been using the
TAT for Weight Loss Program (Kaiser Permanente actually did a
study with TAT as a weight loss aid, and found it very useful).
I've done the program for almost 3 weeks now (it's a 6 month program). And, I haven't been exactly diligent about it - but the results are quite interesting:
- I lost about 70% of my appetite. I still have hunger - but that's different from appetite.
- If I overeat, I feel incredibly sick. I no longer feel that same "ah, I'm full," satisfied feeling.
- I've cut down stress-and-boredom eating about 50%. In fact, alot of "trigger" situations, I don't even think about food. Before, I would instantly think, "I need to eat, now!"
By the way,
none of the above is based on willpower. I instead see food as...well...food! Before, I saw food as a tool to anesthetize myself. And this is from a slightly half-ass 3 week attempt.
I haven't reached the "I hate exercise" portion of the program yet. I am curious to see how it will change my perspective.
