I've reduced my prescription from -5.5d with 1d astigmatism to about -4.5 and no astigmatism, using EFT and weaker lenses. All over the last 6 months, although i've slacked off the last 2 months.
I found that I started feeling the urge to take off my glasses about March this year, and had my eyes tested. After being teased by my optometrist for even thinking I could improve my vision with my emotions (I'd been doing a bit of EFT before that, and had dropped a lot of angst), I decided to try it properly. I dropped the fist half dioptre by just doing EFT on all the feelings I had going without glasses. There was fear, confusion and memories from childhood. Then as a good EFT student/practitioner does, I did EFT on every negative thought I had. There were plenty and I've been working my way through them. I've been distracted the last couple of months with the move to self-employment and setting everything up, but my optometrist went from laughing at me to cheering me on after a couple of visits.
I'm currently wearing -2.75d glasses for most things, but they only give me about 20/70 vision. It's actually enough, and I get a headache if I wear "correct prescription" glasses. I can feel all the muscles tightening up in response. I recommend "Take off your glasses and See" by Jacob Lieberman". He's my hero! :-)
Also EFT of course - when I've dealt with a big issue (and they come up more without glasses), my eyesight improves measurably... once by .25 dioptre immediately! Give it a go.
Carol Look, an EFT Master practitioner has a series of phone teleconferences you can buy from her site, when she was running an experiment on improving vision. I haven't tried them all yet, but I reckon I've been doing what she recommends anyway.
