I have tried doing that, but the Computer Network Defence (yes, that is an actual department were I work) folks have gotten paranoid. We have keyword blockers on our web-browsers at work, and one of the keywords being blocked is 'mail'. Ostensibly this is to ensure that we are 100% virus safe, but it is actually more of a control issue than anything. Portable data storage devices are completely banned, even iPods and cellphones, so those are completely out of the question. (Doncha just love Government work?) I can send myself an e-mail from work (assuming it passes the e-mail filter rules), but that is the closest that I can do. Apple's
iDisc might be an option for me, but I don't know if it is blocked or not. The only way I will know is if I set up an account and try to access it from work. If I wind up being extrordinarliy rendered to the dungeons beneath some long-forgotten Romanian castle, it didn't work
