Acting Like Godot will become famous soon enough

Sometime early last year, my wife and I were (as usual) discussing all the strange oddities about this amazing thing called the LOA.

We began to latch on the idea that the way to test the LOA was to use bizarre and highly unusual intentions, which, by conventional reckoning, ought to be very unlikely to come true. Thus if they did come true, it was much less likely to be attributable to a meaningless random coincidence.

One of the bizarre, unusual intentions was for my wife to become CEO of her company. You must know firstly that she is only in her early thirties, working in a company which is quite hierarchical, seniority-based and stable. In the hierarchy of things, my wife was at best around No. 8 and this is the kind of organisation where the top 3 or 4 people are likely to stay in their roles until they retire or die of old age.

Anyway, just for the fun of seeing if the LOA works, my wife and I both started manifesting for her to become CEO. (Of course we added the intention that all this would happen in a way for the "highest good of all").

Again - an odd string of coincidences. A few people started getting transferred, moved around to other parts of the world etc. One of the chaps got moved all the way around the world to the coast of Africa (my wife works in a shipping company. It owns a fleet of about 60 ships - which is quite a lot - and also various specialised vessels, eg those that work around deep-sea oil rigs; or are used for deep-sea oil exploration.).

Suddenly my wife became No. 4 in the company.

However, around this time, she got unhappy about a couple of things in her job. Also one of my kids fell sick and ended up in hospital.

After that, my wife started having thoughts about quitting work to be a full-time mum, or getting a part-time job. Basically, she was not interested in being CEO anymore.

We began to IM other sorts of intentions for her career. I've discussed them in the forum before - see Event No. 3 in this listhere.

Amazingly it worked. She now has a three-day work week, with no pay cut. Furthermore she can choose to work from home or in the office.

If they need her back to work full-time on urgent projects, they will pay her extra. That is, she now works Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If they need her to work Tues & Thurs, they pay extra.

(There were some very minor trade-offs - for example, the company no longer covers her medical expenses. This is an insignificant trade-off; since my own employer's medical benefits cover my wife + kids.)
