My position:
I'm a very logical and scientific person, but I have a great imagination. I think that helps me be very skeptical and yet open minded at the same time. I also think this stuff is really cool and want to believe some of it is true. So when something doesn't work, I usually try and prove it true, instead of proving it false because I want to believe it's "real".
So what do I believe?
Well I believe that psionics is real. The whole using psi energy to do things makes sense if I look at the fact that everything is energy, and if we can control energy, why not the things it makes up? Learning to move energy inside of me was the hardest part, but once I got that down, things made more sense. I think that whatever word for energy you use, it's pretty much the same thing for whatever purpose you're using it for.
Psychics, like readings, is not the same thing as psions. There's too much fluff and entertainment acts that I really believe that. Like tarot and zodiacs, most of the things I see are just far too vague and are just luck.
Now as far as ET, aliens if you will, yes. The universe is way too big for life not to exist somewhere else. It's just numbers.
Ghosts, spirits, etc. Maybe. This isn't my thing. I'm sure there's something, but I don't really concern myself over it.
History:
I've always been interested in this since I was little. All the games I played etc I've always been like the wizard or psion etc. So how did I get serious about it? Let me think back quite a few years. My cousin Chris, has been a huge influence on me, he got me into most of the things I am interested in and who I am today. One of those things is this. Maybe 6 years ago he was talking to me about "cloud-busting"; the process of dissolving clouds with your eyes. At least that's what I got from it.
So he showed me that and I got interested and went home and looked about online, read up on it. This lead me to some psionic stuff, and I think I bookmarked it and forgot about it. That was pretty much the end of that.
Then I think a few years later, I stumbled across
PsiPog.net : Science is Evolving. I think I looked at that for a bit, bookmarked it and that was that again.
So now it's 2006 and I got re-interested in it, possibly by a movie. I found psipog again and began really getting into it. I went about 2 weeks where I was hardcore about it, then I think I burned myself out. I've been busy and really haven't put much hardcore training into any of it. Though I regularly try and meditate and move psi(energy) around in my body. I hope to get back into it and force myself to practice.
So there you have it. A basic outline on my position.
