Brainwave entrainment can be beneficial if used properly on a healthy, qualified person. Though it is fairly safe to use BWE, it may take you to a state of consciousness that you aren't prepared to deal with and keep you there for awhile. One experiment that I did w/ certain entrainment took my brain 2 months to re-stabilize and return to my normal state of awareness. Though my state wasn't scary, I just felt in a weird mental state.
BWE is not recommended for epileptics, individuals susceptible to seizures, and pregnant women. If you are on any type of medication - it may have an impact on the BWE.
I have had good experiences w/ BWE, but prefer to meditate w/ out it. I think that meditation can be just as effective for improving focus. BWE is great for promoting brainwave flexibility and accessing different states of awareness. I recommend giving it a shot and evaluating your personal results... every individual has a different experience w/ it.
I write about my personal experiences w/ it on my site
4 Mind 4 Life and do experiments w/ Neuro Programmer 2 Professional made by Transparent Corporation. You may want to check out my "
table of contents" where I explain the various brainwaves before you get started. Oh yeah, and if you are going to buy the software, I wouldn't mind you doing it through one of my links

You can also get a free 30 day trial download for any one of the featured products. For casual BWE, I recommend using Mind Stereo. You can listen to your favorite music w/ out even hearing the entrainment tone and surprisingly, it is just as effective as the isochronic tone alone.
Mind Stereo is my fav, but NP2 is quality. Their newest Mind Workstation looks like it has a lot to offer. If you do try BWE, I am interested in your experience. If you are going to give it a shot, I recommend doing it for at least a week or two before making any judgments about it's effectiveness.
Best wishes,

This may have been discussed before, if so please excuse,
and point me to the thread.
A close friend has suggested I use some CDs ,that they personally really like,
that alters your brain waves, yet...
I have another person that says:
"Be careful. If it is brain entrainment by beat "frequency oscillation",
it channels your natural Alpha frequencies (which vary) into a single frequency."
Is it OK as long as you have all the different CDs that constitute
all the brainwave levels?
Can anyone in simple terms please tell me why this is bad/good?
I have tried many types of meditation and nothing seems to work for me.
Can anyone answer the this question or direct me to a place that can?
I would like some CDs or whatever can help me access my different
bran waves, but I want to do it safely.
Who has tried it and liked it?
Who understands it and definitley will NOT try it?
Thanks for any input.
