I get this now. I didn't get this when I first read this, when it was first posted. But, I get it now.
It was Tolle's words that awoke me to the fact that you can't just decide to be a good person and then do good things, resulting you to "be a good person." There needs to be a shift in consciousness. I get that now.
I know this has nothing to do with anything in the thread, but I was happy to re-read some posts here and actually understand what was being said.
I think when we are struggling with something it is simply that we have not had that shift yet... we have not awakened that part of our consciousness. That is nothing to feel "bad" about or beat yourself up about. I say trust your journey. "In a free and easy manner".... to me that means with a light heart and trust that it will happen as is best. I (ego-self) does not always KNOW what is best. Going with the flow of life with a light heart will make a more pleasurable journey.
