Nothing makes me feel excited. Excitement is something I generate, or don't. It's not dependent on external circumstances, although there are plenty of things in my external circumstances that I can tickle my excitement with -- so many that I can't give my attention to all of them.
There is no 'base level.' The joy available to us is infinite. I mean that in a practical, achievable way, nothing whooo-whooo about it.
