just to stimulate some debate in this thread:
how does everyone get into state and stay in state? i'm very analytical and overthink a lot so i've struggled with this over the years but i'm definitely getting there. When i get ready to go out i start with good club music to get me in the mood and then when i catch a train into the city i try and make eye contact and smile with people who cross my path while walking with a swagger, if they're receptive it boosts my state if they're not it increases my indifference. I also replay in my imagination good memories where i have been in the flow when out (these are my bearings) which makes me feel great inside and gives me absolute faith and trust in myself that i will be able to just go with the flow.
my problem is over analysing how im going during the night which makes me retreat into my head rather than just being me and completely in the moment...any suggestions?
