I was reading recently about new fourth generation nuclear power plants that use pebble-bed technology to provide an almost infinite amount of power safely and cleanly. The science behind it was really very simple and totally fail-safe. I can't believe the media don't make more of these kinds of things. I found it fascinating and very optimistic. This kind of nuclear power in the way to go.
