I had a lot of repressed anger when I came into recovery from my binge eating but if you had asked me was I an angry person I would have said no way. I find that writing is the best way to let out the anger in a "calm" way. You can write in large letter, press hard on the page, use diff colours, draw pictures. You can write letters to the person who makes you feel anger saying everything you'd like to say BUT DO NOT SEND THE LETTER. Then you can burn it as a symbolic sign of moving on.

I find journalling works really well for getting in touch with emotions. I wrote an article on how writing helps you to deal with your feelings if you want to read it
