Hey, Tabs... Danger Man and I will be in Hawaii (Maui) in November, too, for Thanksgiving week. Which island are you going to?
Island fever, by the way, is the oppressive feeling of needing to get off of a stinkin' island! It's kind of like claustrophobia. I certainly got it after a couple of years on Maui -- when I realized everyone one the island was excited to the point of tizzy about an upcoming Kenny Loggins concert. There's a lack of cultural and intellectual diversity that can feel sort of.... well, if you're used to the big city, you might get a little antsy. The incredible beauty and richness of Hawaiian culture is just not enough sometimes!
We would like to work it out so that we can fly back and forth often to the mainland. |
