Dear Beloved,
In my experience of doing professional dream interpretations for more than five years, death is almost always exactly what you said.
It is about rebirth, the successful beginning of a new venture, or it is about a real birth (ie. becoming a parent.)
Very, very rarely is it about the ACTUAL death of a person.
