I definitely have. I think that the "dreammaster" has some ability to control our own reactions to things and our own feelings during the dream. When being shown intense imagery the point is usually not to make us scared (and so we don't feel scared during the dream) but the point is rather to make some point, using metaphor.

I've had a few nightmares in my life where I've actually been scared, and of course there is the very common dream a lot of people have where they feel trapped or powerless. But most of the time when I see weird/scary/strange/disturbing stuff I feel like it's normal. I will see things happen that are completely logically absurd or statements will be made that are completely wrong and I know them to be wrong, but during the dream I will just accept them as true.

When I wake up I remember them and think how strange it was.

I've read that this has something to do with your dream body being closely related to your astral body, and since the astral body is a more emotional body with less mind attached to it, certain things that are logical absurdities can be understood from a different level.

This is also an explanation used by astral travelers for why they didn't do some left-brained task while astral. People ask, "Why didn't you use your OOB experience to go find out the lottery numbers?" and the person usually replies, "I don't know. At the time the thought didn't even cross my mind.."
