Default using images for your articles, licensing

I want to use a picture from flickr for an article, but I'm not sure about the licensing.

It is under the Creative Commons license and says:

Free to:

Share- to copy, distribure and transmit the work

Under the following conditions:

Attribution- You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

Noncommercial- You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

I'm wondering if I can use this image for my site since I'm using google adsense.

Also, do I have to contact the creator or simply use the image and have a link to the author's flickr image?
