My initial impression of your initial post: a small, hurt boy trying to save his mother.
I used to be engaged to a man who had similar issues (although they manifested in different ways). His demons were intense and complex.
He didn't want to die - he just wanted the pain to go away. But, he chose suicide. Such a shame, considering he hadn't even tried a million other options to heal those demons.
