Variety is fine but sometimes the variety of societal whims changes much faster than the primal urges humans have had for tens of thousands of years. So what is 1) natural and 2) formerly acceptable is now a class I felony.
Just part of life in the big city. Ignorance of the law does not excuse you from persecution. People need to get ahold of themselves. On many levels.
