It's the same reason why hemp is illegal, and we don't have free electricity. Hemp is a weed grows rapidly in good AND bad conditions and has many uses. One is making paper out of it. We wouldn't need to chop down millions of acres of trees.
Free electricity designs have been around for a long time. Nikola Tesla developed a device where you could transfer electricity through the air. One of the idiots who Nikola was working with to bring it to the mass market decided he didn't want to do it. Nikola lost his financing source and it never made it.
Why don't we have this? Because energy means power. Whoever controls the source of energy controls the world. If every country had unlimited amounts of energy at no cost, there would be no superpowers. And so for superpowers to remain superpowers they have to prevent free energy. |
