It really best serves to show the magnitude of the force we are talking about. We are talking about a force so small that it would be immeasurable by any existing equipment, which is why the galactic core has never needed to factored into equations describing the motion of planetary bodies around the sun. It just has no measurable effect in any comprehensible time scale
