Lol I guess the cleanliness is relative.
Firstly, I had visited some of the very dirty overpopulated cities in the world just before I got to Amsterdam. And secondly, I was pleasantly surprised to see a city that has legalized prostitution, mild drug use and gambling to be so clean and safe. As I said, it is all relative!
And yes, I have been to Berlin too. I know what you mean. But I loved that city for the incredible amount of history that is still visible there.
