What comes first is this: You must recognize the nature of the polarization choice, particularly that it's a choice you're completely free to make and that God or the universe doesn't dictate your answer.
The choice is very simple really. You can choose to be the hero, the villain, or an NPC in your reality. If you don't choose the first or second deliberately and consciously, you remain stuck in the third option by default.
