Latecomer to Classical
I've gone through phases in the types of music I enjoy listening to. Up until my late 30s, my preferred music was rock and roll, although my piano lessons introduced me to classical and I did like Bach and Handel from the start.
In my late 30s, to my horror and amazement, I really got into Country music.
Then in my late 40s, I returned to Rock, and also listened to Rap, and other raunchy popular music.
But I started listening to Minnesota Public Radio (classical music) at work about five or six years ago, because it is less distracting to listen to. Now I listen to it all the time. I even leave the radio on all night, because if I wake up during the night, I focus on the music and it really helps me relax and get back to sleep.
