Default "Catching" Stumbleupon traffic?

If you've ever had a post, article, or video of yours go viral on Stumbleupon, you know how much traffic it can bring in for a few days. MASSIVE amounts.

But you might also know that most Stumbleupon users have the attention span of a gnat with ADD.

I've had on article on my blog at Pimp Your Grades | Study Tips. Good Grades. go viral on Stumbleupon a few days ago, and my traffic has been up ten fold since then but the bounce rate is extraordinary. Out of the 1,500 visitors I got yesterday, I got about 20 more subscribers. That's it.

I know this traffic boost only lasts for a few days and then it dries up. So how do you make the most of the traffic when most viewers don't stick around for more than 60 seconds?
Or how do you make them stay longer?
