Umm...not to put a damper on your enthusiasm, but "hits" is not a worthwhile measurement.
Hits does not equal unique site visitors. Hits measures each item on your site that gets downloaded to the visitor's browser.
So for instance, if you have a page that has 10 images on it, when someone visits that page, it will render as 11 hits. 1 for the html file, and 10 for the images.
You should be looking at the number of unque visitors if you want to really know how well your site is doing.
