Yeah, I think the delivery comes first and then the "request."
I would call it "generating" rather than delivery, because I think when you are generating what inspires you, your power and creativity is not dependent on the "delivery" of it to any particular person. If you are generating something that inspires you, you're already delivering it to everyone. And one aspect of everyone, like me or Dan or Yossarian, may at some point make a "request" for what's being generated, either verbally, or simply by showing up and being available to it. I think if you show up, that is a request.
I think that's how people like Mother Theresa approach service -- some people are so brimming with abundance, so powerfully generating what inspires them, that they make it available to the entire world. Different people plug into what is being generated - peace, love, joy, whatever - in different ways, with different kinds of request. But they all end up with the same thing. |
