I may be better off than a homeless person or some prisoner, but I still see areas of my life and my consciousness that I would like to improve. I don't say to myself, at least I'm not them and then never try to improve.
The US has unlimited potential, for harm or good. The policies I mentioned are harmful to many, many people, probably everyone. To imply harmful policy is acceptable simply because other countries have worse policies is intellectually dishonest at best.
