I don't consider Buffet a darkworker.
Some really obvious modern darkworkers would be Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. They are both completely obsessed with their own power and have zero remorse about harming others, which they do constantly.
Throughout history we have even more examples
Kim Jong Il
Milosevic
Nixon
Stalin
Hitler
Himmler
JP Morgan
Rockefeller
Nathan Rothschild
(The list of 19th and 20th century bankers, who we know of, who are extremely self-centered and don't mind harming others is incredibly long)
Rasputin
Genghis Khan
Charlemagne
(Tons of European Nobility throughout the last 1500 years easily fit the description)
Augustus Caesar
Alexander The Great
I only list the people who I think are really obvious. There are many others who we can't really know for sure about - most of the time you can't tell in people. But some people's thoughts and actions are well-known and extremely obvious. For instance I don't think there is a single reported instance of Dick Cheney behaving selflessly.
Out of the people I listed the only ones who are even slightly debatable, IMO, are Augustus and Charlemagne.
What unites this list is that at every turn these people have been recorded as acting in a way that increases their personal power and interests, without remorse or hesitation with respect to harming others.
