Well you know what's funny about that? Three VIPs were hurriedly given seats next to ours (we were down in front) and all said to me and my friend, "So... what's this show about? Is it like a hypnotist show?" We were like, "Uh no... John speaks to the dead and is going to do readings for people in the room." The guys were instantly turned off. One said he got comped to the show but didn't feel like watching someone pretend to talk to dead people; didn't see how that would be entertaining. All three got up and left their choice seats after John's second reading.
There were a lot of people in the audience who were probably dragged there by their wives or significant others. Happens all the time. Last year when I saw John the woman I was sitting next to had dragged her husband there. I can't believe people spend money like this on a show they have no interest in. Tickets were $175.
BUT they were selling alcohol so maybe that made it bearable for them folks.
