Ideally your muscle needs to fully recover before the next workout. If you want to train the muscle daily you'll need some pretty low impact workout routines.

A good rule of thumb is that if you cannot lift more (weight or reps) than you did at the last workout, then your muscles have not yet recovered fully and you need to allow more time between workouts (nutrition and rest aside) or lower the intensity of your workouts.
